My Journey

I genuinely love being a therapist. But before I ever sat in this chair, I was a client first (and I still am) . Therapy has been one of the most meaningful, grounding spaces in my life, especially as a queer person learning how to live more authentically.

I also know the work of exploring and healing trauma. My own healing journey has taught me that growth isn’t about fixing yourself, it’s about coming back to yourself. It’s about learning self-compassion in places that were once filled with shame, survival, or disconnection.

What my therapists gave me — a steady, nonjudgmental, deeply human relationship — is a big part of why I do this work now. I became a therapist because I want other people to have a space like that too. A space where you don’t have to perform, explain everything perfectly, or prove you’re struggling “enough” to deserve care.

I believe there’s no arriving, only becoming. You don’t have to have it all figured out to start. You just have to be willing to show up as you are. And I’ll meet you there.

My Strengths

relational

I’m a relational therapist, which means I’m intentional about building a real, trusting connection with you. I’ll name when I’m feeling connected, I’ll apologize and repair when I get something wrong, and I’ll check in often about boundaries and what feels safe in our relationship. If I self-disclose parts of my identity, I’ll always do so thoughtfully and I’ll ask how it lands for you.

My hope is that therapy becomes a safe, authentic space where you can practice connection, boundaries, and being fully yourself and bring that into your relationships beyond therapy.

Resource-Rich

I happen to be a big therapy nerd :) I love sharing the insights I’ve picked up through my training and the work I do. If it feels useful, I’ll naturally bring in psychoeducation during sessions (evidence-based info about mental health, trauma, the nervous system, etc.) to help you understand what’s going on and feel less alone in it.

I’ll also regularly share resources you can take with you (books, podcasts, websites, Instagram accounts, and professional referralsso you can keep learning and supported in your day-to-day life.

Relaxed and Real

My style is relaxed, warm, and real. I try to make therapy feel like a space where you can actually be yourself. I dress comfortably and like me, and I hope you do too. You don’t need to show up polished or “professional.” You can wear your sweats, take your shoes off, drink some tea, grab a snack, and settle in. We’ll do meaningful work together, but we’ll do it in a way that feels human (and yes, sometimes silly).

As a therapist, I really believe that the relationship between the therapist & client is everything. It’s important to feel comfortable & connected to your therapist! That’s why I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation before we officially start our sessions. Hopefully the information on this page gives you a good preview of who I am.
